The Driving Theory Test Is Not As Easy As You Might Think!

posted on 6 April 2012

I am busy helping my Daughter to revise for her theory test and it is not as easy as you may think.  I was reading the first theory test question and i didn't have a clue if i am honest!  It is rather difficult and i realised we were going to have to spend a lot of time revising.  I felt if i ever had to do the test myself i would be in trouble!  When i passed my test, there was no theory test involved so i have never looked at the theory test DVD before as i have never had to.  I started to go through the questions with her and found that some of them were mainly common sense but some of them i felt were extremely hard for a first time driver to know.  The DVD she has for the revising is really good as it gives you clues and information what could be the answer and we had a good laugh going through them seeing how many i got wrong!

Haliburton County Is Prime Country For Motorcross

posted on 20 March 2012

I have been ATVing for about ten years now. The trails around my cottage are fantastic ranging from beginning trails to paths for the more advanced. As well, the same paths are used in the winter for snowmobilers, something I have yet to try. Anyways I see dirt bikers enjoying themselves all the time in the area and decided to try it myself. To be honest I was over confident. I'd bought myself all the gear - the motocross helmets, boots and gloves. I figured it was going to be like motorcycling which is something I had done before. After about a half an hour I got the hang of it and was able to go on pretty level ground. I was hesitant to go fast at first but slowly progressed up to full speed. I am probably not going to try any tricks yet but I think I will try some simple ones this summer. Since I am an adult I will keep safe since I don’t want to be out of work for weeks or potentially months after my accident.
